Hard Rock and Metal label Reigning Phoenix Music expands into the UK, launches RPM International!

Hard Rock and Metal label Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM) has expanded into the United Kingdom with the opening of its London office in Hackney and the setup of its International division.

The RPM International team is the latest addition to the label’s Los Angeles based US operation and headquarters in Hamberg, Germany.  The international team will be responsible for international marketing and promotion coordination across the label’s roster which includes artists of the calibre of Kerry King, Opeth, Meshuggah, Helloween, Amorphis and many more. The newly created division is also set to build the label’s presence in the UK, thus completing the company’s local presence in the 3 major markets: US, UK and Germany.

Heading the London team is veteran international label executive Paolo d’Alessandro who has joined RPM taking the role of Head of International having served in similar global positions over a career spanning more than 2 decades in prominent rock labels. His most notable roles include VP of International at Roadrunner Records and later at Century Media as well as holding international responsibilities for Artist Management teams ensuring international support for artists such as Nickelback, Daughtry, Slayer, Ghost, Coheed and Cambria and many more.

RPM co-founder and CEO Sven Bogner, commented: I believe that one cannot be a truly global player without having boots-on-the-ground at the very least in the three major music markets. The opening of our UK office will allow us to better serve our artists who will now have a London team working both their domestic and international campaigns. Perhaps more importantly, it will also put RPM in front of the British artist and managers community as we are eager to sign much of the great talent that hails from the UK.

The hire also reunites d’Alessandro with label co-founder Gerardo Martinez who heads the record company’s American operations, both having previously worked together on Slayer’s 2015 last record.

Martinez commented: International has never been so important. Every conversation with artist managers inevitably starts with “what is your international setup?”, a question that requires a fully-fledged team to answer with confidence that the label can deliver the level of marketing and promotion territory-by-territory that is expected of a global player. I am very happy that Paolo has joined us in this delicate role and I am looking forward to having him as a member of this label’s leadership team.

RPM Germany Managing Director Jochen Richert added: I could not be happier that we now have a UK/International team to support our European efforts. We may be a young label but the combined expertise of our management team and our local staff is absolutely second to none. I advise artists and managers to give us a try, you most certainly won’t be disappointed.
